Business Systems Analyst 1 - Web

Municode’s website division is looking for a business systems analyst with great communication and analytical skills to participate in all phases of our website redesign projects.  In addition to configuring Drupal websites, you will participate in ongoing customer support and account management activities.   Join our growing team as we build best-in-class online solutions for cities, counties, and other government agencies.

What you will do:

  1. Build, code, and configure websites.  You will participate in all aspects of the website redesign project lifecycle including graphic design, site analysis, site configuration, coding, content migration, training, and go-live.   Internally, you will communicate and coordinate with Municode’s project leads, graphic designers, and systems engineers.  Externally, you will communicate with key customer points of contact.
  2. Drupal CMS Expert.  You will become an expert at configuring our Drupal based municodeWEB solution for each customer.  Once the site is configured and initial content loaded, you will participate in customer training sessions.
  3. Provide solutions to customer problems.  As new and existing customers report issues or request new features, you will be a key member of the professional services team implementing solutions.

  3. Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal).  You are comfortable communicating with customers in-person, on-the-phone, via web teleconference, and via email.
  4. Excellent Analytical Skills.  You can analyze requirements, manipulate data, and develop creative solutions.  You have a working knowledge of HTML, CSS and preferably JQuery.  You are comfortable working with excel spreadsheets.  While a science, math, business, or engineering degree is not absolutely required, it would certainly be a bonus.
  5. Experience.  This is an entry level position for a person with 1 to 3 years’ experience.

Where you will work

You will spend most your time working in our Lake Oswego, Oregon office.  As you progress in experience, the position might require 10%-20% of your time making trips to client sites locally and around the country.
